A refined Art Deco pendant light signed Daum France, combining a wrought iron structure with a beautifully crafted glass bowl. The metal frame, with its elegant, slightly hammered finish and clean lines, supports a wide coupe-shaped shade suspended by three arms, typical of the period. The glass shade has a softly frosted, satin-like appearance, decorated with geometric bands and stylised flower or sunburst motifs.
The fixture houses three internal light fittings, providing balanced illumination while preserving the soft, atmospheric effect. This interplay of texture and light creates a soft, diffused glow when illuminated, characteristic of Daum’s mastery in glassmaking during the Art Deco period.
Daum, founded in Nancy in the late 19th century, became one of the leading names in French decorative arts, particularly renowned for its innovative glass techniques, including acid-etching and engraving.
A sophisticated and collectible piece, ideal for adding an authentic Art Deco touch to an interior, whether in a living space, hallway, or dining room.
