Art Nouveau Brass Table Lamp w/ Pâte-de-Verre Flower Shade - 12¼"

This graceful little Art Nouveau table lamp, dating from the early 20th century, combines warm brass with a flower-form shade in amber and orange pâte-de-verre glass. The cast brass base features a recessed central dish decorated with stylized foliage. A slender upright stem curves forward at the top, supported by secondary rods with the characteristic Art Nouveau whiplash lines and a small foliate ornament. The single light is enclosed within the richly modeled glass shade, whose layered, ruffled petals create the effect of a hanging flower. The contrast between the softly colored glass and the mellow brass is particularly appealing.

The lamp has been carefully restored and brought back into perfect working order in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting, working closely with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal workshop specializing in historic chandeliers and lighting. Particular attention has been given to the quality and safety of the electrification while preserving the aged brass surface and original character of the piece. It is fitted with a small dimmable flame-effect bulb, which suits the scale and warmth of the shade.

Its compact size and floral form give it a delicate, slightly romantic presence, ideal for a bedside table, dressing table or desk. The recessed base is also practical, offering a small place for rings or small jewelery beside the bed, or paper clips and other small objects on a writing desk.
