Assortment of French majolica / barbotine vegetables

A lovely set of 1950s French majolica, also known as barbotine, from Normandy, France. Made from earthenware covered with an opaque glaze, majolica is modeled in naturalistic shapes and glazed in lively colors. This delightful set includes a pine cone, five artichokes represented at two stages of development, and seven matching asparagus.

Artichokes - 7" long x 4" diameter (18 cm high x 11 cm diameter )
Pine cone - 6" long x 2" diameter (15 cm long x 6 cm diameter)
Asparagus - 7" long x 1" diameter (18 cm long x 3 cm diameter)
