A striking late 19th-century fruit chandelier, attributed to Baccarat, showcasing the exuberant decorative taste of the Belle Époque. The chandelier is suspended from a crown of faceted crystal drops and descending gilt-bronze chains, leading to a circular beaded canopy. The basket is densely adorned with cut crystal prisms and richly colored glass fruit pendants in tones of amethyst and amber, creating a layered, jewel-like effect. Eight candle arms encircle the rim, their warm patinated bronze sockets fitted with faux candle sleeves, while four interior lights glow from within the basket, animating the crystal, beads, and fruit pendants from the inside out.
