Bespoke Lamp w/ Antique Bridal Globe and Silk-Petal Shade - 17¾"

This one-of-a-kind contemporary lamp was created by a specialist in historic lighting, incorporating an original Napoleon III-period globe de mariée that has been carefully reworked as part of the design. Traditionally used in 19th-century France to display wedding keepsakes beneath glass, the antique element gives the piece a distinctly romantic character while its transformation into lighting feels fresh and imaginative. The lamp is completed by a bespoke shade formed from individual silk petals, made specifically for the piece and bringing softness and texture to the composition.

The lamp was conceived and carefully assembled in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting, working in close collaboration with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal atelier known internationally for the restoration and recreation of important historic lighting, including pieces for the Château de Versailles, Opéra Garnier and other major French monuments. This background in historic lighting ensures a high standard of craftsmanship, with particular attention paid to the quality and reliability of the electrification.

With its delicate silkwork and unusual antique component, the lamp brings a gentle, romantic glow to an interior. Its light is intentionally soft and atmospheric rather than strongly functional, making it particularly appealing as an accent on a bedside table, dressing table or console.
