This French statue in fired 'biscuit' (a type of porcelain) dates from the 1900s. Mary wears a vale and is crushing a snake (representing the downfall of Satan).

Originally displayed in a private chapel. Note that the hands have been cut off - this was done when there was a death of a child in the family.
