Charles X 3-drawer commode - black patina w/ daisy drop handles 36½"

A lovely three-drawer oak chest of drawers with black painted finish dating from the period of Charles X, King of France from 1824 until 1830. The black patina is old but not nineteenth century, as well as the charming colorful fabric lining the interiors of the drawers. Note the pretty bronze drop handles accented with Provençal-style daisies holding up either end. the drawers open easily. This commode would make a terrific piece to add a touch of French charm to a bedroom in both modern and traditional interiors. No keys.
