Collection of 10 oval Napoleon III Reliquaries

This rare collection of Napoleon III reliquaries dates from the nineteenth century. They are intricately made from hair. This was a tradition to celebrate birthdays and death and also for ornamental decoration. These were made by nuns in convents and also by specialist artisans. The oval frames have convex glass. These would make a superb gallery wall.
