This vibrant set of hand-painted plates dates from the 1950s. They are likely from a Mediterranean village such as Menton or perhaps Italy. There are two larger plates and six small plates. They have a very lovely yellow scalloped edge and feature fruit such as cherries, pears and olives. These would be fun to use when entertaining, or for displaying on the wall as a collection.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Six small measure 5½" diameter, other two 9" diameter
Six small measure 14cm diameter, other two 23cm diameter
