This petite oak chest of eight drawers dates to the 1930s–1940s and features clean neoclassical lines softened by a warm, honey-toned patina. The case is articulated with crisp moulding along the top and rails, paneled sides, and subtly tapered legs. The drawers are arranged in a balanced grid, offering practical, orderly storage ideal for small essentials. Each is fitted with an Art Nouveau–style cast brass pull, decorated with a stylised foliate motif that catches the light beautifully.
The piece is in good condition, with drawers gliding smoothly and a gently timeworn surface that adds to its authentic period charm. Ideal in an entryway to organise keys, papers, and daily necessities, it also sits gracefully between twin beds in a guest room, providing balanced storage and a generous surface for a pair of lamps.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
