A spectacular Venetian twelve-light chandelier dating from the first half of the 20th century, crafted in gilt brass and clear glass. Its twelve lights are arranged over two tiers, with eight on the lower level and four above, while an elaborate openwork coronet rises above the central baluster stem. Scrolling brass arms are lavishly adorned with glass rosettes, bead garlands, and an abundance of faceted pendants that catch the light beautifully. The chandelier remains in very good condition, with light oxidation to the brass, gentle wear to the gilding, and a few tiny nicks to the prisms consistent with age.
