A pair of digging forks from the late nineteenth century from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. Walter loves collecting old tools that would have been used on their farm. Walter explains that these forks were used for digging potatoes and 'garance' which was used as a dye. Note, these have been displayed outdoors in the weather for several years so are in rustic, timeworn condition.

Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
