This elegant Provençal mirror from the Régence period (circa 1715–1723) is a beautifully preserved example of southern French craftsmanship, blending the grandeur of late Baroque ornament with the emerging lightness and curves of the Rococo style. Finely carved from wood and finished in its original gilt, the frame is richly decorated with motifs that reflect both refinement and regional character.
