A romantic oil on canvas from the nineteenth century. A shepherd stands under a tree and a woman with a crown of flowers sits with her dog. Her gaze is forward and the dog is looking up to the shepherd. A romantic message is written like a secret message or thought on the tree. It reads Je pense a nous, j'y songe sans cesse - "I think about us, I think about us endlessly." Most likely a painting from a trumeau mirror. It is nearly square.
