Early 20th-Century French Half-Moon Waterfall Iron Plant Stand w/ Weathered Patina - 29¼" x 63"

This large French iron plant stand dates from the early 20th century and has an architectural three-tiered construction, with curved shelves arranged in a broad half-moon or waterfall formation. Narrow iron rods form the open shelves, supported by a simple framework of uprights and diagonal braces. The painted surface has weathered extensively over time, revealing layers of pale paint, traces of green and areas of rust that give the piece a particularly characterful patina. The structure remains stable and sturdy. 

Designed to display numerous pots at different heights, these tiered stands were particularly practical in florists’ shops, nurseries, conservatories and garden settings.
