Early 20th-Century French Louis XV-Style Six-Light Chandelier w/ Crystal Pendants - 35½" x 21¼"

This elegant early 20th-century French six-light chandelier, inspired by the Louis XV style, combines a clear molded-glass central stem with gracefully scrolling brass arms and a generous arrangement of crystal pendants. The stem is formed from a series of ribbed baluster sections, while the six lights rise from curving arms beneath floral brass and pressed-glass bobeches. Faceted drops, elongated prisms and larger shaped pendants hang throughout the composition, with further crystals suspended from the upper scrolls and a faceted ball completing the chandelier below.

The chandelier has been restored and is in very good overall condition. It has been carefully rewired in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting working closely with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal atelier specializing in the restoration and creation of fine historic lighting. Each light is fitted with an ivory faux-candle sleeve and a high-quality dimmable flame-effect bulb, preserving the appearance of candlelight while providing safe, reliable modern use.

With its open arms and abundance of hanging glass, the chandelier brings sparkle and movement without feeling heavy or overly formal, making it an easy decorative addition to a wide range of interiors.
