Early 20th-Century French Tiffany-Style Stained-Glass Pendant Light - 35¾"

This beautiful early 20th-century chandelier, in the Tiffany style, combines a richly colored stained-and-leaded glass shade with a hand-forged iron suspension. The inverted bowl is composed of warm amber and golden glass, set with green leaves and deep violet flowers around the border. The glass itself has a richly textured surface, which catches and diffuses the light beautifully and gives the colors greater depth when illuminated. The fixture houses three lights, creating a warm, atmospheric glow from within.

The design reflects the influence of Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), whose New York studios transformed decorative lighting around 1900 through richly colored glass assembled into intricate compositions. His work gained international recognition, notably at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle. This French chandelier beautifully reflects that legacy and influence, with its vivid palette, floral motifs and carefully assembled geometric glasswork.
