A grand Italian hall candle lantern in engraved crystal from the early 20th century. Of classic bell-jar form, it presents a circular glass smoke shade at the top, supporting the engraved bell by three graceful chains joined to a crown-like gilt-brass gallery. The deep blown crystal bell is etched with trailing vines and grape clusters, a classical symbol of abundance, and the gilt-metal lower section mirrors the gallery’s ornament. Designed to hold a single candle, the lantern combines a mellow, aged gilt surface with crisp, well-preserved engraving.

Generous in scale, this single pendant makes a striking statement in an entryway, above a dining table, or on a stair landing.
