A small round mirror from the early 20th century, likely French or Italian, set within a silvered and painted wooden frame. The ribbed surround is crowned with a crest of floral garlands, with traces of soft green and pink gently highlighting the relief. The design reflects a revival of neoclassical taste, echoing the refined, softly romantic character of the Louis XVI style. The mirror plate remains very clear, showing only light speckling consistent with age.
Elegant in its small scale, this mirror brings a lyrical note to a powder room, dressing corner, or above a bedside table. It also layers beautifully into a gallery wall. Its subdued shimmer and delicate floral carving soften stone and wood surfaces and pair easily with marble, linen, and other natural textures, adding a quietly romantic accent to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
