Sunlit architecture rises beyond, dominated by the domes and campanile of Santa Maria della Salute, all rendered in a palette of aquas, sand, and warm umbers with crisp black accents. Brisk, textured brushwork brings movement to the water and atmosphere to the sky, and an indistinct signature sits at the lower edge. Likely Italian, the work is framed in a molded gilt frame that partially hides the signature in the lower left corner. The painting remains in good condition, while the frame shows timeworn scuffs and minor losses consistent with age.
