This elaborate Italian frame dates from the late nineteenth-century. It has a new mirror but was most likely a portrait frame originally. It is a carved wood frame with a gold patina (not gold leaf). This large mirror will make a big impact.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
