A beautiful collector's piece from the eighteenth century, this rare urn is an excellent example of Rouen earthenware pottery. This exquisite vase is adorned with beautiful floral motifs and intricately decorated with squared cartouches, fruit, multiple garlands of flowers, foliage, and other natural elements. It boasts an impressive size and is supported by a broad molded pedestal.
The upper section of the vase has a baluster shape, while the vase itself features double twisted handles speckled with blue. These handles extend up to its flared neck, completing its stunning design. After the initial firing in the kiln, the pottery is then carefully painted with its colorful designs. Once painted, it goes through a second firing in the kiln to further enhance the colors and ensure their durability. The pedestal of the vase has been expertly restored.
A true work of art, prepare to be enchanted by this exquisite vase time and time again.
