A well-proportioned French garden table dating from the 1930s–1940s. Made of iron, it features a pedestal base with four splayed feet rising into slender vertical rods that curve outward to support the round top at a central collar. The structure has a balanced, architectural feel. A small opening at the centre of the top is designed for a parasol, a practical detail suited to outdoor use. The original green paint remains across the piece, now worn into a mottled surface with areas of turquoise-green and ochre rust. The top shows more pronounced weathering, with a speckled, almost painterely effect from long outdoor exposure. This patina is entirely natural and developed over time. The table is stable and solid.
This table brings a balanced mix of architectural structure and aged character to a terrace or a conservatory. Its clean, radial base gives it a light industrial and almost sculptural quality, while the weathered paint and natural patina introduce warmth and a softly rustic feel. Indoors, it works well as an entry or centre table, where its form can stand out without overwhelming the room. It pairs naturally with linen, wood, ceramics, and stone, adding texture and depth to both classic and more contemporary interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
