A lovely mantle clock with a classical bust on top and a Roman centurion soldier holding a wreath of laurels symbolizing victory standing to the side atop a scene of Roman figures carved in the base. Made of bronze with an intricately hand-carved relief. The sculpted story around the base of the clock includes several scenes with a chariot, and manned warships approaching the shore with a classical temple in the distance.

There are laurel branches around the base and dolphins dress the two front feet. The clock includes Roman numerals. Note: This clock is in good functioning order at the time of photography, however, please allow for recalibrating upon arrival for optimal functionality. Circa 1840s in France.  

Condition and patina consistent with age.
