An early 20th century French three-light chandelier in wrought iron and molded glass signed Degué, this piece emerges with graceful presence, its three suspended chains drawing the eye down to a frosted glass bowl cast with crisp geometric relief and encircled by three matching pendant shades on gently scrolling arms. The circular iron corona is enriched with curling volutes and leafy sprays that soften the structure with a touch of natural poetry, while the blackened surface carries an appealing timeworn patina with only light, even oxidation. The glass elements show minor surface wear consistent with age and use but no visible chips or cracks, and the chandelier remains in overall very good condition, its materials and craftsmanship harmonizing into a quietly refined statement for an entryway, dining room, or salon.
