Butcher's counter, marble top, circa 1900, France

SKU: 1965

US$2,113

This small counter was once used in a butcher’s shop as the caisse – it dates to the early 1900’s. There is one lockable drawer with its original key, and inside there are two shelves accessed from the back. The timber is pine, and the countertop is marble with a brass pass monnaie - where customers put their money to pay for their goods.

This rustic counter would make a perfect kitchen island for a smaller kitchen or apartment.
