A tall, sculptural jardinière, recently assembled from vintage copper elements with a verdigris surface, set on a four-legged wrought-iron stand with a russet, oxidized finish. The demi-lune basin features a raised back and a central copper funnel secured by rings, with a scalloped brass plate resting loosely at the bottom where the original base had been cut. The palette blends sea-green, bronze, and iron red tones, beautifully mottled by age and exposure. Dents, oxidation, and surface wear enhance its vintage character. The modified base is not watertight, and the back is pierced for optional wall mounting to provide added stability.
This copper vessel would make a beautiful presentation stand in a florist shop or garden room, its warm metallic tones and natural patina enhancing the display of flowers, plants, or seasonal arrangements.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
