This late-19th-century French copper _arrosoir de vigneron_ has the purposeful, handmade character of traditional vineyard equipment. Its tall cylindrical body rises through a sloping shoulder to a short open neck, with a large loop handle at the back and an unusually long spout that sweeps upward at the tip. A horizontal brace connects the neck to the spout, strengthening the construction while giving the silhouette its distinctive graphic quality. The copper has developed a warm, varied surface with scattered verdigris, particularly around the joins, and the hand-soldered seams and repairs remain clearly visible, revealing the practical way the piece was assembled and maintained over time. No holes are apparent, although decorative use is recommended.
The combination of aged copper, visible craftsmanship and unusual proportions gives it a strong country character while retaining a certain elegance. It could be displayed on a terrace or garden table with a tall bouquet of dried flowers, or simply placed among a collection of old copper and gardening pieces, where its long spout and distinctive silhouette would bring individuality and rhythm.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
