French ironstone strainer Creil – circa 1940’s

This French cheese mold or Faisselle dates to the 1940’s and is a rustic creamware. The pretty holes make this ceramic strainer perfect for washing strawberries or displaying eggs and fruit. There is no maker’s mark, however it was most likely made and fired in Creil.
