French Louis XV Carved Walnut Side Table w/ Drawer - 26"

A charming French Louis XV walnut side table, dating from the 18th century. Crafted in solid walnut, it features a rectangular overhanging top above a serpentine apron finely carved with scrolling rocaille foliate motifs. On one short side, a drawer fitted with its original iron ring pull provides discreet storage, while slender cabriole legs adorned with carved C-scrolls terminate in small pad feet. 

The walnut has acquired a rich, deep patina that beautifully reflects centuries of use. The top bears a small hole, while a discreet restoration to one corner of the drawer, together with scattered surface scratches, areas of discolouration, and staining, all speak to its age and long history.

Graceful in scale and proportion, it is equally at home between twin beds, beside a sofa as a lamp table, or in an entrance hall as a petite console topped with a vase of seasonal flowers or a favourite decorative object. Wherever it is placed, it brings warmth, patina, and understated refinement to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
