A delightful modern French oil-on-canvas still life by Georges Lévêque, executed in an Art Deco style and dated 2009 on the reverse. The composition is distinctly geometric, with clear, structured forms that suggest an influence of Cubist-inspired modernism. The scene appears to be set in a kitchen interior, where a table is adorned with a checkered runner or tablecloth, a vase of flowers, and cherries scattered across its surface. Beyond the table, a large window opens onto a view of village houses, rendered in simplified, architectural shapes. The painting is presented in a simple black-painted wooden frame. A charming piece to add to a gallery wall or entry to infuse French modern art in your home. The piece is signed in the lower right corner.
