French platter - marbled terracotta 12½"

This lovely, modern marbled dish was created using the French pottery technique of "Terre Mêlée" where by the glaze is mixed IN the clay as opposed to being applied as glaze on top. The platter features cream-colored grape vine-inspired handles and a unique swirl of brown, green, and yellow/cream glazes. Likely from Uzès or Apt, France. Signed by the potter and dated 2000.
