French vintage wall mounted spoon drainer 13½"

This very rare spoon drainer (égouttoir à cuiller) is made from terracotta with yellow glaze with a brown pattern detail. It is most likely from the 1950-60's from the Savoy region of France. Designed to be wall mounted, spoons and cutlery are placed inside for drying. There are drain holes at the bottom. This could also be used as a wall mounted planter for flowers or strawberries.
