An elegant French white faience tureen and matching charger signed by Emile Tessier, likely dating from the 1960s–1970s. Distinguished by its sculptural apple finial, generous proportions and beautifully understated form, the tureen features softly moulded contours, sturdy side handles and a luminous white glaze that gives the piece a timeless and versatile appeal. The set is notably weighty, reflecting its quality craftsmanship, and retains labels from a jewellery boutique established since 1860 in Arles, Provence, adding a charming trace of provenance. Condition is very good overall, with only one small visible chip to the charger consistent with age and use.

Both decorative and functional, it makes a beautiful accent for a dining table, kitchen island, or open shelving, and pairs effortlessly with antique wood, linen, and rustic French ceramics.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
