This soupière dates to the late 19th century / early 20th century. The lid is decorated with an artichoke leaf, with a stalk as the handle. Patina and wear consistent with age – this tureen is in excellent condition.

There is a maker’s mark underneath which reads A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart and St Amand-les-Eaux. St Amand-les-Eaux is a village in the North of France which is known for its Faience production, which was built in the early 18th century.
