A graceful French wrought-iron garden table, likely dating from the early 20th century, with a substantial hand-forged base painted in a softly weathered off-white. The structure is formed from generous scrolling ironwork, with sinuous supports, curled feet and circular stretcher details giving the table a lively, almost calligraphic silhouette. The iron appears substantial and gives the piece a reassuring weight and stability. The round metal top is a later replacement and has developed an especially beautiful mottled surface of oxidation and wear, with shifting brown, gray and russet tones that give it a painterly quality.

Rooted in the tradition of French garden and café terrace furniture, the table combines durable wrought iron with decorative scrollwork and an open, graceful silhouette. The patinated off-white base and richly oxidized top give it a relaxed, painterly character. Its intimate scale makes it ideal for dinner for two or drinks on a terrace, while indoors it could elevate a vase or small sculpture in an entry, or display a plant in a conservatory or winter garden.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
