This classic Louis Philippe mirror is from the 1850s. The simple frame has the traditional running pearl detail. Patina of mirror and frame consistent with age, it is just possible to see through to some of the red undercoat. Retains original mercury glass - identifiable by the subtle sparkle in the mirror.
Approx. 21” wide x 27” high x 1¼” deep
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
