Glamorous Six-Light Chandelier w/ Glass Pendants and Fringed Shades - 32¾" x 17"

This elegant six-light chandelier, dating from the early to mid-20th century, combines a clear molded-glass central stem with scrolling gilt-metal arms and an abundant arrangement of faceted glass and crystal pendants. The shaped central column is formed from baluster-like glass sections, interspersed with two tiers of scrolling metalwork hung with crystal pendant, creating plenty of movement and sparkle. Each of the six lights is fitted with a custom-made mustard-gold fabric shade with a rich, lustrous sheen, finished with long matching fringe that gives the chandelier a distinctive old-world glamour. Their color echoes the warm, softly aged metalwork and provide a beautiful contrast with the clear glass. The shades can be individually tilted, allowing their angle and the overall silhouette to be adjusted.

The chandelier has been carefully restored and rewired in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence by a passionate specialist in historic lighting working closely with Mathieu Lustrerie, the renowned Provençal atelier specializing in the restoration and creation of fine lighting. Particular care has been given to the quality and safety of the electrification while preserving the character of the original glass and metalwork.

The combination of clear crystal and deep golden textile gives the chandelier a warm, glamorous character, while the long fringe softens its formality and introduces a slightly bohemian, eclectic note that would feel at home in a layered interior..
