Graceful Petite Rococo-Style Silver-Plated Brass Candelabra by A. Frénais c. 1900 - 8¾"

A charming small two-arm candelabra in silvered brass, richly inspired by the exuberant curves of the Rococo style. The scrolling branches unfold in fluid asymmetrical lines adorned with delicately cast acanthus leaves and floral motifs, while the tulip-shaped candle cups rest on elegantly flared drip pans evocative of 18th-century French decorative arts. The softly shimmering surface, with its warm coppery undertones visible beneath the silvered finish, gives the piece remarkable depth and character. Timeworn patina and gentle wear further enhance its antique charm, highlighting the finely modeled details throughout the base and scrolling stem.

Stamped to the base with the mark “A. Frenais,” the candelabra was produced by Parisian silversmith Armand Frénais, active between 1877 and 1927.
