A grand Louis XV Revival circular giltwood ottoman dating to around 1900. The generously proportioned round seat is upholstered in a later pale cream damask. The shaped apron is adorned with shell motifs, while four acanthus-carved cabriole legs terminate in scrolling feet and are united by an elegant X-form stretcher with bold volutes and a turned central finial, creating a sculptural silhouette from every angle. The frame retains a beautifully mellow, timeworn gilded finish with scattered losses and later retouching, while the pale cream damask upholstery is clean and ready for use.
