A beautiful, heavy, hand-forged Italian headboard attributed to Rino Baglini (1921–2012) of Chiavari, master of artistic wrought iron. Crafted in the mid-20th century, it features a lyrical crest of scrolls forming a tree-of-life composition, with blackened iron highlighted in ivory, ochre, and gilt touches. Small painted rosettes and slender finials enhance its sculptural rhythm. Solid and of high artisan quality, this piece reflects Liguria’s tradition of decorative blacksmithing, where craftsmanship and artistry merge in a design that feels both ornate and airy.
This grand wrought-iron headboard has strong sculptural presence and transforms a bedroom into a statement space. Its sweeping scrollwork and tree-of-life motif create an airy sense of movement while the gilded highlights catch the light beautifully. Ideal as a focal point behind a simple linen-covered bed, it pairs elegantly with plaster or stone walls and natural textiles. In both rustic and refined interiors, its hand-forged artistry adds drama and craftsmanship, bringing a sense of timeless Italian grace to the room.
