This large two-light wall sconce from the 1970s is crafted in gilt tole and shaped with graceful, scrolling branches that unfurl into layered leaves and sparkling floral accents. Clear crystal petals form daisy-like blossoms that catch and scatter the light, while each curving arm ends in a flower-shaped bobeche with candle-form sleeves. The gilding has mellowed to a warm, time-softened glow, and the crystals remain bright and intact, giving the piece a charmingly lived-in refinement.
In good condition, with gentle patina and minor oxidation appropriate to age, it embodies the mid-century revival of Rococo garden romanticism. An airy blend of tole, gilding, and crystal, this evocative piece lends shimmer and romance to an entry, powder room, or bedroom.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
