Dating from the mid-nineteenth century, a superb sign reading 'Concierge' from either Paris or Lyon. Originally a sign in a luxury apartment building with a doorman and concierge service. It is heavy - made from cast iron with an enamel finish. The sign is white with blue and black text and decoration.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
