Large 19th century terracotta jar w/ 3 handles & brown glaze 14¼"

SKU: 14888

US$813
This characterful pot dates from the nineteenth century, most likely from the Montpellier region. It is a large terracotta piece, used originally for preserves. There are some losses to the glaze.

This pot is a lovely size and deep brown color. The fact that it has been visibly worn with use adds to its character.

Place it next to other ceramic pieces or on its own in the kitchen to add a rustic feel.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Approx. overall 14¼" high x 13" wide w/ handles 10¾" diameter
