This spectacular large antique European oak dining table dates from the 1900s. It borrows stylistic elements from the Louis XIV period with scrolling motifs which decorate the lower front and side stretchers connecting the four feet. Note photos to observe that this table was originally made to sit against a wall, as only the front of the piece is decorated.
The tabletop features a carved edge and scalloped front apron piece beneath. Decoratively carved baluster legs sit on four rounded feet. This magnificent oak table will add European charm to any space, perhaps as a large console in a great room or a dining table comfortably seating 8 people.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
