This superb, large antique wicker travelling trunk dates from the mid-twentieth. And what an adventure Patricia and Walter had finding this! One night, at midnight, in Paris after a dinner party, they saw this gorgeous wicker trunk on the street. They hauled it back to their apartment praying that the neighbors were asleep! It wouldn't fit in the elevator so they had to carry it up the stairs. It has always been a fun piece with happy memories, and it is fabulously practical for storage. It sits at the foot of the bed in "Le Marin" guestroom and is used for storing blankets.
