Large antique preserving pot w/ green glaze from Anduze 18½"

Dating from the nineteenth century, this large preserving pot is glazed with emerald green outside and pale yellow ocher inside. It has an elegant tapered base, flared top and two upright handles. It is from southwest France, likely Anduze or Tournac.

Anduze and Tournon-sur-Rhône (Tournac) in southern France have rich pottery traditions linked to their geography and local resources.
