This substantial antique Belgian coffee shop container, made from painted tin, dates from around 1920. Originally used at the "Lerabot" coffee roastery in Gand (Ghent), it is beautifully decorated in rich tones of red and black with bold lettering and a charming illustration of a château and bridge, a wonderful example of early 20th-century commercial design. The curved, half- cylindrical form and hinged lid remain intact, showing a handsome timeworn patina that reveals its authentic age and commercial heritage.
Perfect for adding a touch of vintage Belgian charm to a kitchen, pantry, or café interior, this large painted tin also makes a striking decorative piece on an entry console or open shelving. It brings warmth, colour, and a sense of timeless elegance to both contemporary and traditional settings.
