Large Contemporary Pastel Still Life w/ Bottles and Bowls by Caroline Beauzon - 56¾" x 28¾"

This large pastel on rice paper by contemporary French artist Caroline Beauzon depicts a composition of four bottles and two small bowls, rendered in her distinctive, simplified style. The elongated silhouettes overlap and play with scale, in a beautiful palette of deep burgundy, brick red, terracotta and warm ochre against a soft cream background. The matte, slightly textured finish of the pastel gives the bold shapes a lovely softness, while the natural irregularities of the paper add to its artisanal character. Monogrammed CB in the lower left corner, the work is presented under glass in a simple, light wood frame.

Based in Provence, Caroline Beauzon is known for her colorful, graphic interpretations of everyday objects, particularly those associated with domestic life. This composition beautifully captures her playful approach to form and color, resulting in a work that feels both modern and timeless. Its generous size, warm, earthy tones and charming subject matter make it a lovely choice for effortlessly anchoring a kitchen or dining room.
