Large crested Louis Phillipe mirror w/ cherubs 61¾" x 32¾"

A stunning, large scale Louis Philippe mirror from the mid nineteenth century. Note the striped pattern around the gilded frame, the patina is silvery gold. The sculptural crest is framed by two leaning cherubs, flowers and foliage. A rare find that will make a gorgeous focal point either over a mantle, in a bathroom or in a bedroom.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
